All Sixth Formers are members of a tutor group that includes a mixed group of students from their own year group. The tutor is responsible for the welfare of each student and for monitoring his/her progress, offering guidance on career prospects and Further and Higher Education Opportunities.

The Sixth Form have their own PHSE programme, specifically designed to meet their needs.

It currently consists of a mix of the following:

  • UCAS Guidance

Students interested in Higher Education receive individual counselling about choices and are encouraged to attend university open days. Year 12 students are taken to Newcastle and Northumbria Open Days as well as the UCAS Higher Education Fair at the Arena.
