An exciting opportunity has been brought to our attention and we’d like to share it with you.

A program called Mission Discovery is coming to Newcastle. The event flyer is attached via this link. During 5 days worth of events, 14-18 year old students have the opportunity to team up with NASA astronauts and launch their ideas into space!

Mission Discovery is being held at the Civic Centre in Newcastle from 9am on Monday the 25th October to 4pm Friday the 29th October this year.

Northumberland County Council has funed 10 places for DCHS students. If your child is aged 14-18 and they are able to attend all 5 days of the event during October half term, please email emma.robertson@dchs-alnwick.uk to reserve a place. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so reserve your child’s place today. The event usually costs £660 but reserving a place through us means this can be accessed for free. Please note that this free place does not include transport or accommodation.

Please reserve tickets by no later than Thursday 30th September.
